Penacio restaurant at the Best Western Hotel Tre Torri Vicenza

A critically acclaimed Chef.
Penacio is the name of a historical tavern at Arcugnano, on the Colli Berici, one of the favourites of the bons vivants of Vicenza. The last few years though, there has been another tavern, L’altro Penacio, a prestige restaurant, in which Enzo Gianello implements a high profile cuisine, adding to the traditional dishes of the region those fish suggestions that have given him a flattering reputation among food critics.

An intimate and elegant restaurant.
The restaurant is elegant, divided in a way that offers a sense of intimacy. It has a warm elegant décor and a modern design in it. From a wide window one can see the fireplace used for the skewer and grill. In the wine list, 200 Italian labels, with a preference for Triveneto, Piemonte and Toscana, over a great selection of foreign wines. In full sight stand the bottles of extra virgin olive oil made of olives from Veneto and Umbria, next to the bottles of balsamic vinegar of our own production. On the border, a room reserved for banquets of 40-50 seats.

The fish arrives every day from Venice and the harbours of the Adriatic in a great variety: crustaceans, molluscs and the finest species for the lovers of raw fish. What deserves to be especially noted from the menu is the hors d’oeuvre with sea-bass carpaccio e tuna tartare, the delicious calamari soup and the tuna escalope alla mediterranea. Also a special place in the menu, the Grande piatto del mare, a suggestion for tasting the best the market has to offer. All this accompanied by excellent olive oil and the most suitable white wines.
